Outdoor Countertop

I have granite counter tops on my out door bar in direct California sun. Surfaces are dark and get very hot, even when shaded. The bull nose lamination (rounded edges) are separating and in some cases have completely fallen apart. I need an adhesive to restore the laminated edge (top to the bottom)that can withstand high temperatures of approx. 160 to 180 degrees. I don't know if there is a perfect adhesive for granite to granite application for high temparatures, but I would just like your best suggestion. Thanks in advance.

Our Touchstone Edge System is designed for bull nose laminations. The epoxy can withstand your temperature range. You must clean and scrape the old adhesive from the contact spots. You will want to tape off the face of the stone, apply the adhesive and clamp. Then you will remove the tape and clean any of the epoxy that got on the surface.

Thank you very much. The Touchstone Edge System is the one I thought might work, but I was concerned about the temperature tolerance. I will get that one from your online store.

Also, I have a corner where the bullnose lamination is separating, by about 1/32 of an inch, but not fully disconnected. I can squeeze the bullnose with my hand and close the separation. When I release it, the separation returns. The actual granite piece is 4 feet long, but is only separating about 8" at the corner. I was hoping to be able to inject some type of flowing adhesive into the separation and clamp it until it drys. In this case I would not be able to clean any old adhesive out of the separation (crack) since it is still mostly connected at the other end.

Do you think the Touchstone system will work for this problem? Or, can you suggest another solution?
